1:18 Diecast 1969 Black Dodge Charger R/T Review

Here is my a 1:18 1969 Dodge Charger R/T Released January 2006 by Johnny Lightning.

I like this model though it is not high quality piece. The hood opens, the wheels turn and the doors open (not hinged but with dog legs). I was a little disappointed that the trunk is fixed and will not open. The scale and proportions are very good. Most of the parts fit tight with the exception of the hood which looks to be a little warped and not perfect to the body on the drivers side. I like the flat black finish which is kind of unique but the paint does have an imperfection just in front of the drivers door (like they touched it before the paint dried). The overall appearance of the body is good, the shapes and contures are well done. I was quite impressed with the exhaust, the detail is very good for a model in this price range. The engine compartment is average, a little detail with parts and paint. I liked the interior though all plastic the painting details were pretty well done. The overall detailing to the model is pretty good, the lights and trim look good, a little paint missing on the drivers side trim over the door. I like the rubber tires, skinnys up front with tread and wider/taller goodyear slicks in the back. The plastic wheels are cragar and pretty authentic looking.
I would rate this model overall at a 6.5 out of 10.
(10 being the best)
